Los Angeles
For 75 years, the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles has been providing civil legal services to low-income people in metropolitan Los Angeles.
With six neighborhood offices and four courthouse clinics serving communities as diverse as East Los Angeles, the Westside, South Central, Pico-Union, Koreatown, and Long Beach, LAFLA is the first place thousands of poor people turn when they need legal help with crisis that threaten their shelter, health, and livelihood.
By helping to strengthen communities and change policies and laws that unfairly impact the poor, we attack the roots of poverty and effect systemic change.
In 2001, we merged with the Legal Aid Foundation of Long Beach, resulting in more resources and a greater reach to people in need.
