Family Law Services

Through courthouse clinics and neighborhood offices, LAFLA provides family law assistance and advice to financially eligible low-income people.

We help people resolve the following problems:

Child abduction
Child custody and visitation
Domestic violence and sexual assault

Depending on the demand, we may be able to help clients prepare the court papers that they need to file to help solve their problems.

Because more clients seek our help than we can help, we give priority to:

Parents who have an emergency custody problem
Parents whose children have been kidnapped
Parents who are victims of domestic violence
