Coro Fellow

During January, 2007 LAFLA hosted Coro Fellow Roberto Walton.  Roberto developed a marketing plan for LAFLA's fee-for-service bankruptcy project, which provides a reduced cost alternative for moderate income individuals seeking bankruptcy protection.

Self-Help Legal Access Centers

In 2006 LAFLA opened Self-Help Legal Access Centers in the Long Beach and Santa Monica courthouses, to join our Inglewood center which opened in 2003.  In 2007 we anticipate opening a new center in the Torrance courthouse.  All centers use JusticeCorps members and volunteers to provide direct assistance and legal information to litigants in landlord/tenant, family law, and other civil cases.
