Sara Williams oversees all external and internal communications and marketing activities at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. In her role, Sara facilitates LAFLA’s media relations; manages and creates content across all digital properties (social media, website, email); produces marketing materials; leads special projects such as the annual report; and develops outreach and advocacy strategies. She joined LAFLA in 2018.
Prior to joining LAFLA, Sara served as a communications specialist at the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, where she led the organization’s digital communications efforts. Sara has also provided communications and marketing support as a consultant for clients in various fields (including the nonprofit and legal sectors). At the outset of her career, Sara served as a television news producer at network affiliates in San Diego and Santa Barbara. She received her Master of Public Administration degree from New York University, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in broadcast journalism and international relations from the University of Southern California.
