Becky Dennison serves as Housing Justice Policy Manager, a role focused on policy analysis, research and advocacy to advance housing rights in Los Angeles.
Becky has worked to promote and defend housing justice-focused policies and practices for over 25 years, working toward a Los Angeles that is equitable, accessible, affordable and inclusive.
Prior to coming to LAFLA, Becky was the Executive Director of Venice Community Housing for almost 10 years, working to expand and preserve affordable and supporting housing in LA’s westside neighborhoods, advance alternatives to gentrification and criminalization, provide high quality and responsive services, and build a collective voice to promote human rights for all low-income and unhoused residents across LA City and County.
Before that, Becky was the Co-Executive Director of the Los Angeles Community Action Network (LA CAN), where she worked for 15 years alongside low-income and unhoused leaders in Downtown and South Los Angeles to promote social and racial justice through community organizing, civic participation, and public policy development.
Becky received her Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering degree and Master’s in Public Policy degree from the University of Minnesota.
All LAFLA offices will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026. All services will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.
