Amy Withmory is the Managing Attorney of the Survivor and Family Justice (SFJ) Workgroup at LAFLA. SFJ provides trauma-informed legal services for survivors of domestic violence, including restraining order and family law assistance. Amy oversees SFJ’s domestic violence clinics at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles and the Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse in Long Beach, along with on-site clinics at domestic violence shelters throughout Los Angeles. Amy’s prior experience includes prosecuting domestic violence abusers as an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Montgomery County, Maryland State’s Attorney’s Office.

Amy received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, M.A. in Diplomacy and Conflict Studies from Reichman University, and J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law. Amy is admitted to practice law in California and Maryland.
