WHO WE ARE
LAFLA is a nonprofit law firm that protects and advances the rights of the most underserved—leveling the playing field and ensuring that everyone can have access to the justice system.
Mark oversees LAFLA’s Self-Help Centers in the Inglewood, Torrance, Santa Monica, and Long Beach Courthouses. Before joining LAFLA in 2020, Mark was a civil and family law litigator and also engaged in appellate practice. Having litigated wage and hour claims, defended residential tenants in unlawful detainer actions, and represented petitioners and respondents in family law suits, Mark brings a deep commitment to removing barriers to justice and ensuring equal access to the court system. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and Korean Community Lawyers Association, and has devoted countless pro bono hours in providing legal services to under-resourced clients.
Mark received his undergraduate degrees at the University of California, Irvine and his law degree from Temple University School of Law.
