Sandra Vargas-Henao is a Supervising Attorney in the Eviction Defense Center workgroup. As the Supervising Attorney, Sandra oversees attorneys defending against unlawful detainer matters. Growing up as a Southern California native, Sandra is committed to a career in public interest and removing barriers to justice in her community.

Sandra began her career at Inner City Law Center (ICLC) as a Staff Attorney in the Tenant Defense Project in 2019. In 2022, Sandra began a new role as Supervising Attorney in the Tenant Defense Project. That same year, Sandra began teaching as an adjunct professor at the Southwestern Law School Eviction Defense Clinic where she served until her departure from Inner City Law Center in 2024.

Following her role at ICLC, Sandra began a new role in the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Counsel for Justice project. Sandra continued her passion for public interest work in the Domestic Violence Project where she assisted pro per litigants with preparing domestic violence restraining order applications.

Sandra received her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish with a minor in French from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School.
