Tanya McGary is a supervising attorney in the Economic Stability Workgroup. She manages a team of advocates appealing Social Security denials for people experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County. Before coming to LAFLA, Tanya was a supervising attorney at Public Counsel Law Center. There, she provided advocacy for people living with HIV/AIDS and ran a Medical-Legal Partnership at the Rand Schrader Clinic. Tanya has served as a panelist on Social Security topics for various regional and statewide advocacy groups.

Tanya received her BA from Yale University and her JD from UC College of the Law, San Francisco.
