Nicole Rivera-Vazquez

Nicole Rivera-Vazquez manages client intake across LAFLA’s various programs and offices. She works with a team of legal and service professionals to connect community members with the best available counsel and resources.

Previously, Nicole was the Supervising Attorney for the Client Intake Workgroup. Prior to joining LAFLA, Nicole was a Kinship Care Attorney at Bet Tzedek Legal Services where she represented undocumented minors and relative caregivers in custody and immigration proceedings. She also worked in the Family Law Self-Help Resource Center at the Los Angeles Superior Court assisting litigants with child custody, visitation, and domestic violence cases. During her tenure there, she helped to develop software to be used statewide to enable pro per litigants to assemble forms for e-filing in probate guardianship matters. Nicole began her career as a staff attorney for Public Counsel’s Children’s Rights Project including co-managing the Pro Per Guardianship Clinic, representing litigants in probate guardianship and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status proceedings, and mentoring pro bono attorneys.

Nicole received her BA from UC Berkeley and her JD from USC Gould School of Law.
