Sharon Paik is the Managing Attorney of the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Community Outreach Project at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA). She is a dedicated legal advocate with a demonstrated history of serving low-income and immigrant communities. The API Community Outreach Project focuses on addressing the unique legal challenges faced by the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
Sharon’s prior experience includes serving as a Senior Staff Attorney at the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD), where she represented the CCLD and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services in cases involving the interests of those being cared for in community care facilities and foster homes. She also worked at Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Southern California, representing domestic violence survivors in family law cases, and at the Koreatown Youth & Community Center, where she managed the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Sharon previously served as a Staff Attorney at LAFLA’s API Community Outreach Project, representing domestic violence survivors and victims of crimes in a variety of family law and immigration matters.
Sharon received her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School.
