We are excited to welcome our summer class of 34 law clerks, who represent 22 law schools. The students join us remotely from nearly a dozen metropolitan areas across the nation, as far away as Boston, Chicago, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They also speak 14 languages other than English, ranging from Spanish and Korean to Haitian Creole and Persian. Their commitment to equal access to justice is evident in their coursework and experiences inside and outside of the classroom.
We are also thrilled to announce that 10 of our law clerks comprise the inaugural class of our LAFLA Equity and Inclusion Fellowship (LEIF) Program. The LEIF Program is designed to foster a more diverse legal profession, reflect the client communities we serve, and encourage future careers in public interest law.
