Our 2019 Annual Report is now available for you to read—and we are proud to announce that it’s LAFLA’s first-ever digital annual report!
Read our message from Executive Director Silvia Argueta and Board President Jim Burgess, and learn about the impact that you have made as a donor, volunteer, and/or supporter of our mission.
We hope you also take a minute to learn about the more than 100,000 clients we serve annually, including:
- Cynthia, who had nearly $300,000 in overwhelming student loan debt cancelled, after LAFLA came to her defense.
- Peter and Misty, who received relocation assistance after their landlord tried to convert their building into a tourist hotel; and
- Holly, a domestic violence survivor who—with the help of her LAFLA advocate—obtained a restraining order against her abusive ex-partner and custody of their child.
We thank you for your support in making a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors; and hope our 2019 Annual Report serves as a testament to the power of access to justice to level the playing field.
