LAFLA is searching for a dynamic Human Resources Administrator to be an integral part of our bustling HR team. The right candidate will have an outgoing and personable demeanor all while multi-tasking and assisting our amazing and dedicated team of lawyers and administrative staff in a hybrid work environment. This position reports to the Director, Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred;
• Minimum of one year of human resources or receptionist/assistant experience required;
• Some experience with recruiting preferred;
• Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required;
• Experience with HRIS systems preferred (ADP preferred);
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Detail orientated and organized;
• Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.

Examples of Duties:

• Use your multi-tasking skills to coordinate the candidate recruitment process, schedule interviews, administer any applicant tests, track candidate status, update department reports and correspond with candidates and managers;
• Having a collaborative sprit and working with hiring managers to draft job announcements, and post positions to various job boards;
• Use your outgoing personality to assist in conducting new hire orientation, as needed;
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding of employees with Facilities, Payroll, IT and supervisors;
• Proactively respond to employment verification requests;
• Activate your attention to detail with scheduling and tracking of employee trainings;
• Collaborate with the HR team to prepare and update HR forms, presentations, and policies and procedures;
• Assist with maintaining HRIS database and generating requested reports;
• Responsible for outgoing mail/FedEx items for the department;
• Maintain swag bags and swag item inventory;
• Bringing your creativity to assist with all Staff Events and recognition programs;
• Maintain employee personnel files and record maintenance (hard and electronic copies);
• Contribute to the organization’s DEI plan and goals (via surveys, interviews, etc), supporting all DEI initiatives and helping to promote inclusion in a thoughtful way;
